The Caribbean islands are divided into two groups: the Greater Antilles and the Lesser Antilles. The northern islands form the Greater Antilles and this is made up of four large islands, Cuba, Hispaniola [made up of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Jamiaca and Puerto Rico. The smaller islands forming the Lesser Antilles, lower down on the eastern end consist of Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, St. Kitts, Nevis, Monserrat, Grada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago and the French islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. Those which have English as their official language and are members of the Commonwealth are usually referred to as the West Indies. The body of water surrounding these islands is the Caribbean Sea. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean. Rose Hall Great House - Montego Bay
Annie Palmer otherwise known as "The White Witch of Rose Hall" was said to have been murdered on the Rose Hall Estate back in 1831. The building underwent a major restoration after its destruction and for those wishing to see and hear about about ways in which peopled lived and "ruled" on Jamaican Estates - then this is a must. Be sure to take a photograph of the much talked about mirror in the bedroom as mysterious and unexplained images have been known to appear on the photos once developed. One bit of advice - do not remain on the property after sunset as it is said that Annie Palmer is sometimes seen riding a horse around the Estate.

Dunns River Falls - Ocho Rios
Well, if there is one place visitors to Jamaica would have to go and that is to this most spectacular site - as it is known throughout the world and one of the most talked about sites within Jamaica. [However, there are also a number of other Falls within the island that are just as spectacular and less commercialised - worth asking around]. Be prepared to do some "Bata-ing" after your climb as the locals try to sell amongst other things some well carved items within the craft stalls.
